COUNTRYSIDE WALKS IN NORTH KESTEVEN
In the Heart of Lincolnshire

Most of the walks below are short circular walks from 1 to 6 miles in length.
For those who prefer longer rambles, many of these short routes join together to make a network of walks.

'Stepping Out' Walks

Exploring North Kesteven on foot, following these waymarked walks, you'll discover a variety of countryside scenes, ancient woodlands, delightful villages and country churches. The fascinating history woven into the landscape will be revealed from the sites of Roman waterways and medieval castles to the airfields of the Royal Air Force past and present.
Parish Walks

Produced by local walks groups, these walks take you from the heart of the village and out into the countryside. Take the opportunity to use local knowledge to learn of sites of interest along the way.

Village Walks

The pretty villages of North Kesteven are a delight to explore. Many of the village communities have produced local walks guides, highlighting interesting aspects of local history, traditions and architecture.
Saunters

Walking is an ideal way to keep fit and healthy.These short walks, from 1 to 3 miles, on footpaths surrounding some of North Kesteven's larger villages introduce you to walking in the countryside.

Long Distance Walks

These longer walks cross the district from Lincoln in the north to Sleaford in the south and from Newark in the west to Woodhall Spa in the east. They may be walked in short sections and link with other short circular walks.
Other Walks

These walks have been produced by individuals, walking groups or organisations and may be a series of published routes or just someone's favourite local walk.
